La dee da dee da, what do you know! My little Whim & Caprice has captured the fancy of the judges of Martha Stewart's world. That's pretty darn great and all, for the lack of gushingly appropiate words, this is an acknowledgment of my hard work. I gotta tell ya' that my press get mighty hot on those warm St. Helena days. So to Martha Stewart American Made, a big, big thank you for the vote of confidence in my own version of American Made.
So now I need you to vote for Whim & Caprice, da thumbs up, I suppose. Will ya do that for me? I would so appreciate it. A big thank you for the support for my kooky little capricious line. -WC
I created a project called "The Martha Project" from 2000-2005. I was able to find an installation shot from one of those exhibitions.
I purchased objects from the flea market and recontexualized these common objects, painting walls and installing the works to be viewed on the vertical.
So today I submitted Whim & Caprice for consideration - as an American Maker. Wish me luck! Somewhere there's another project in there! That darn conceptual brain never stops working! -WC
As I stated, with very little elegance that I am not good at keeping up with all this stuff. So I'll just post some lovely images of my wares that I've seen around town. The two stores that merchandised my pillows and table linens are ACRES and Poor House. I will try to be better at least I do post on Instagram -WC
